With Treaty 5 signed in 1876, the Chemawawin Cree Nation resides in Easterville, Manitoba, approximately 270 km northwest of Winnipeg along the Saskatchewan River
Bunibonibee Cree Nation(Oxford House)
With Treaty 5 signed in 1909, the Bunibonibee Cree Nation is located on the Oxford Lake's eastern shoreline at the mouth of the Hayes River, 950 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg
Manto Sipi Cree Nation
(God's River)
With Treaty 5 signed in 1909, the Manto Sipi Cree Nation is located at the mouth of the God’s River along the God's Lake's north shoreline, 585 air kilometers northeast of Winnipeg
We acknowledge and respect the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt) Peoples on whose territory the University of Victoria stands, and the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
